6/28/24 - Many strange things have been going on in Dublin. Sometime ago the Irish Candyman stopped appearing in public and is rumored to have somehow escaped Brovenloft. This occurrence coincided with another odd event. A giant castle made of what appears to be waffle cones, ice cream, and candy sprouted out of the ground in the center of Dublin. Strange weather is also effecting the region. Ice cream blizzards, jaw breaker hail, and even gumdrop rain storms have been hitting the region. The local Irish know the castle has something to do with everything but they are afraid to investigate it because everyone that has tried never came back.
Our group of adventurers are more than willing to investigate the castle for the locals. They try to find more henchmen but a Muppet frog assassin shows up and the party kills him for being a murderer for hire. They are able to recruit a Ranger and a halfling who shows up completely naked. ( Dark Souls Start) All he has is thieves tools. The party buys him some armor and weapons then they strap up and head towards the castle.
They make it with no encounter but arrive to a ghastly scene. Bodies of Irishmen, mutants, Muppets, and leprechauns are impaled upon candy cane spikes, like some Vlad the Impaler shit. The bodies seem to have been dead for awhile. They assume these are the ones who have tried to investigate this place. The party is no scared off so easily. They decide to enter the main entrance of the Candy Castle.
They enter a large entry room with several doors. This room as multiple paintings of 6 strange looking individuals. The party concludes they must be important and have some kind of residence in the castle. They press on and start exploring.

They explore until they find a pack of giant rats eating away at the walls of the candy castle. They make quick work of them and continue. as the party explores they had their hogs walk ahead of them so they will activate any traps the party misses. The hogs do eventually trip a trap in a long hallway. The trap divides the party from the hogs with a waffle cone wall. At least no one died. They search for another way.
The party eventually runs into a chamber with 4 Giant Chocolate Toads guarding their eggs and ready for a snack. This fight was closer than expected but the party is able to come out on top without anyone getting eaten. They take 2 chocolate toad eggs after opening 1 and finding it full of Carmel, Yum. The party finds stairs going down but wants to explore this level a little more.
The adventurers at some point find a closet with a candy cane battle axe in a broom closet. it is slightly stained with dry blood. The party give it to a Irish hiring and they press on. They get surprised by 2 rock candy piercer but dodge the creatures. The party kills them after the botched ambush. The party decides to leave and come back the next day to explore the second level. They have no encounters on their way back to Dublin. On their return they send a letter to Bong Weasley to see if he world be interested in buying the chocolate eggs. They also notice the peppermint battle axe has a degree of status among the Irish even though it is not magic.

6/29/24 - The party buys some equipment and wastes no time. They head straight to the dungeon and have no encounters on the way. They enter the dungeon and go straight down to the 2nd floor of the dungeon. They do not get too far before entering a large hexagonal room. A giant cotton candy spider has taken up residence in this room. The party thinks range will hep them carry the day. They fire shots but mostly miss, the spider however shots a cotton candy web at the Jean entangling him as the spider begins to reel him in. The party decides to run into the room to help. This is exactly what the spider was hoping. Everyone who enters the room rolls 1d6 and every result on a 1 entraps someone in cotton candy webbing spread about the room.
The party tries to range the spider but its not very effective. The spider shoots cotton candy webs at the paladin entrapping him. It then starts to pull him in for attack. The rest of the party decides to run into the room to save the paladin. This is exactly what the spider was hoping for. Everyone who enters the room rolls 1d6 and everyone who gets a 1 is trapped in cotton candy webs. This traps some hirelings but no one important. The party uses fire and is lights up the spider. This also ignites the webs around the paladin dealing fire damage but its better then having to risk a save vs poison. They slay the spider next round and search the room. They manage to find 3 colorful cotton candy giant spider eggs, as well as a necklace made of a sapphire blue rock candy cut like diamonds. The party leaves the dungeon and heads back to town with no encounter
When they get back to town they see Bong Weasley has sent a reply saying he will pay 2,000 gold for each of the giant chocolate toad eggs. The party figures he would also buy the cotton candy giant spider eggs as well so they decide to travel there the next morning,
6/30/24 - The party heads to the Candy Factory to speak with Bong Weasley. They get an encounter of a large swarm of giant irradiated rats roaming the streets of Dublin, but thanks to O'Doyle's ranger bonus to surprise they win 1 segment of surprise and evade the rodents.
